In 2008, I wrote a review of a new phone. I am more of a journalist than a tech expert, so my opinion was from the consumer side, not from the techie who’s impressed by the accelerometer, whatever that is. The review was mixed, with good and bad, again, focusing on what the consumer needs.

Because of that review I neved got another phone from that company again. It didn’t matter I was right and the phone was a flop, it mattered i didn’t praise it. The company went and lost 50% of its valuation and i am now on the second phone from that fine company.

The question is: is it simpler to ban a blogger rather than send him a better product?

my car cd-player broke down, after bumping in a hole in the road. roads in Romania are faulty and my cd-player jumps every time i find a rough spot in the road.

my hp elitebook takes forever to render a movie for trafictube.ro. i was expecting faster processors and faster computers.

online video still is blurry and pixelated, 3 years after youtube made it big. sad.

even more, internet speed is not what it supposed to be. mobile internet is so slow…

…And more

Not another social bookmark, social site, web2.0 bullshit. We really need faster and better technology. On my list:

A laptop that is lighter and with a battery that lasts longer than 2 hours. my Dell dies after I turn wifi on. and sometimes I really want to blog live from conferences.

A cell phone that films better and has a good battery. my Nokia N82 has a 5 megapixel camera and gets pretty good video. but I want more.

A fixed Firefox. I am tired of the memory leaks that slows down the browser. I do not mind that it takes 1gb of my ram (I have 2.5), but I want it to work!

Faster internet. and here I include all those pixelated videos on YouTube, that I hate watching.

That is what we need.
