I have some video files that MediaPlayer, my player of choice, does not like. It does not play AC3, he does not like some mov or some xvid files. I’ve tried CineXPlayer and ACEPlayer and they are even dumber. CineXPLayer shuts down when i click on a movie instead of playing it. ACEPlayer freezes when i press any button, pause, information, settings.
Are there any decent choices? (VLCPlayer was good to me, but it’s gone from AppStore).
It’s not the CPU consumption. Not even close.
It’s the faulty product. By the time you have red these 20 words, a new Flash exploit has been found. And this is a fact. I don’t care about my phone battery, i care about occupying 100% of my processor after i have closed the tab on my laptop. It’s crashing my browser for no reason at all. It’s taking a very very long time to start a video.
That is all. People want FLash dead the same way they want Internet Explorer dead. They got burned too many times because of a dumb product for them not to want something better. And because the mighty Adobe gods sat on their asses, the same way Microsoft did with IE, makes the user even more angry.

Let’s perform a thought experiment. By the end of 2010, there will be more than 100 million iPhone OS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad). You’re the webmeister at an important content site. The boss comes in and asks you why you’re not supporting the iPhone OS devices. ‘Our stuff is all Flash-based, chief, those guys don’t run Flash’. You’re about to become the ex-webmeister. The boss, a really patient sort, asks you to “think different” about all these “non-compliant” customers, each of whom has an iTunes account backed by a credit card, and has developed the habit (encouraged by Apple) of paying for content. So, one more time, with feeling: What’s your answer?
from mondaynote. I don’t use Apple products, but i start to understand the mentality. And maybe Microsoft should start a partnership with Intel and a few more and start delivering hardware and software products in the same case. You know, those kind of products that are design for the hardware they run on and are working so good the Blue Screen of Death will be a distant memory.

Wow! Time goes by so fast. I remember I picked up Photoshop in 2001, at 5.5 version and struggled with it for about 2 years. Back then there was little information, few tutorials and a couple of forums.
Right now i still use CS version, because it’s perfect for my needs and loads up faster than the new versions.
