Small leagal battle

I’ve started a small legal battle with one of my former Teacher Assistants. The person published in a book a bunch of personal opinions about me (i use profanity, i have no traffic and other stuff i have heard before) assorted with some untrue facts. I am all for personal opinion, even thought some times people write stupid things on puropose, just to get a reaction or to piss me off (it’s hard being top blogger). My legal notice was pretty clear, it questioned the facts, not the opinions of the author. He is now screaming censorship and poses as a victim of the mighty me. And responded to my lawyer’s notice with the same attitude, trying to overlook the problem.

No more.

It’s not ok to knowingly publish untrue facts, just to smear people’s reputation.

Life has a lot of grey

I consider Dragoş Novac a guy I can learn a lot from, even though he is stubborn and antisocial, two qualities i hold dear. To my disappointment with the Romanian online industry, he told me life has a lot of grey and wisdom comes with age.

Maybe i am too young, but i consider respect and honor to be the two great qualities any person must hold. That is why i fail to understand people who work for spammers and thieves or why they tolerate Kathy Sierra-like type of comments (one of my former friends even said i should get used to these kind of really really aggressive comments talking about violence towards me and my family, because his blog is a free space). There is no gray, you know your empleyers are spammers, what is there to debate?

Yea, life has a lot of grey.

To those arriving here for the first time from blogs saying this is my new project…get over yourself, this blog is 4 years old.

when i was young…

…i built a small business having only my father’s name as a door opener and a few hundred dollars. I wanted to prove myself, and to him, i could do it. I sold it to him and his partner two years later and moved on to other things i wanted to do.

I read all the humorous posts about me quitting my main blog and only source of income to do nothing. Most of them were from people too afraid to take chances and do something else or something more. It’s hard to understand you are willing to leave a secure ground to dive into the unknown. It’s even harder to understand why quit when you are on top and have been so since 2005. And instead of asking or shutting up, most of them prefer to say stupid things.

The good news: two days ago found the idea i wanted, some people offered to back me up, others sent good thoughts and Ursus sent beer.

The Trabant from Debrecen

zoso-oradeanul-cocalari-trabant

This is a picture i hold dear. Taken in 2009, while on a shopping trip to Debrecen. I was living in Oradea, near the Romanian-Hungary border, and going shopping to Debrecen outlets on a monthly basis. Every time, that Trabant was there, no matter rain or sun, clean and shiny.

Now i pass by the same place, but the car is not there.

I am the one on the right.

When to quit

I look at some Romanian journalists and TV personalities as they turned clowns because they did not know when to quit (Cristian Tudor Popescu comes to mind). And some others, that knew when the change scenery, because there was nothing left for them there: some took jobs in banks, some opened businesses: Radu Coşarcă, Cosmin Prelipceanu.

It is important to know when to quit.
