Dragos Roua used to be the owner of few sites in Romania: masini.ro, a car directory site, culinar.ro, cooking site (infamous because Roua threatened competitor sites he will trademark the recipes on the site, without owning them) and a few others nobody remembers. He sold them in 2008 and moved to New Zeeland.

Now he is back in Romania, doing conferences about success and personal development, because nowadays everybody has a success story. Meanwhile, his wife writes hard to believe things about him. For those of you who don’t speak Romanian, a few things from that now deleted topic on a moms forum: he forbidden her to leave the house, he spend time on erotic massages while she was at home, he forbid her to use the bathroom in their house on occasions, ordered her to leave the car 200 km from home with no money and so on. I am still trying to deny the idea that what the wife wrote is actually true, but having a few telephone conversations with the guy I tend to believe her.

I hate people that talk about a success that does not exist in the real world and I hate the people who call them to conferences, ignoring the fact they are charlatans.

You think this year will be good, and you sell your car to buy more wii? Is anyone buying that? I’m not a games, but i think a Wii does not cost 5.000€.

My guess is that he is running out of money. And that is because of his shady practices and bad tactics, the same tactics that got him and his crew fired from Intact group.

And after years and years, none of them ever get to the point of even showing in my rear-view mirror. And then the real attack begins. His ideas and blog posts are stupid because…he is a Capricorn. This is considered an argument nowadays by people who want to be on top. Logic or something that resembles judgement is not to be considered.

All water under the bridge. After the WBF ended, Bogdan Gavrila went on the attack. On everyone. As a part of his attack was the assumption that the bloggers that were present (from Romania, as observers, as Romania did not have a representative at WBF, because, again, every respected one refused to participate) were young lions, already hitting hard the old and established bloggers (the ones that turned him down), who were just about to go down.

I had a tear in my eye. Honest. A few days later after his high hopes declaration of war, one of the young bloggers was caught posting on his blog translated news from American sites.

Failed again, Mr. Gavrila. I know this will not slow you down, because a person who already lost everything (money, reputation, business, friends and credibility) has no choice but to fight his dirty fight, along his ashamed crew.

What if, 2 weeks before the presidential elections, Mr. Sarkozy would give a political speech? Would they come?

What if behind the event was a blogger nobody likes, because he is a real sleaze and untrusted person? What if you would try to fight a spam site and he would call you a member of the Securitate, would you attend? What if you found out that he stole the content of one of your sites and when to mention the source, he would play it dumb, would you come?

Would any of your American friends come? (i guess we found the answer to that one when the only important person on that list was you)

So, please, don’t judge.

That’s some of the reasons not one respectable Romanian professional blogger attended the event.
